We were delighted to take part once again this year in the 2026 Salon du Dessin, an essential event for lovers and collectors of Old Master, modern, and contemporary drawings.

On this occasion, the gallery presented a selection of diverse works, bringing together artists from all periods and schools: George Romney, Joshua Dighton, Sir James Thornhill, Luca Carlevarijs, Charles Parrocel, Jean-Robert Ango, Jean-Baptiste Perronneau, Eugène Devéria, Thomas Couture, Godfried Maes, Wybrand Hendriks…

For the first time, the gallery chose to highlight a contemporary artist, Gerd Sonntag (1954, Weimar). A significant figure of the Berlin Neo-Expressionist movement in the 1970s and 1980s, his drawings are remarkable examples of his work, situated between abstraction and figuration. They reflect an approach that is both poetic and literary, where letters appear woven into the fabric of the image, giving these works a distinctive expressive power. The presentation of four of his drawings thus found its rightful place within our display, creating a new dialogue between historical drawing and contemporary creation.

For this 2026 edition, the Salon also introduced two new initiatives in which the gallery was keen to participate.

Among them, the “Anonymous Drawings” stand dedicated a space to works whose authors have not been identified, inviting viewers to look beyond signatures and focus on the intrinsic qualities of the drawings.

Meanwhile, the “New Collectors” parcours offered a selection of works at accessible prices, highlighting both drawings by renowned masters as well as promising talents.

We warmly thank the organizers, exhibitors, and the many visitors who made this edition a special moment of exchange, discovery, and dialogue across eras!
