30/7/26 - Acquisition - Rennes, Musée des Beaux-Arts - For two and a half years, we had been hoping for a happy conclusion for a magnificent painting by Georges Lallemant: King David Playing the Harp (ill. 1), which had captivated us at the stand of the Parisian dealer Franck Baulme at the Brussels BRAFA (see the article). He had already succeeded in rediscovering a riot scene by the artist, unveiled during Fine Arts Paris and subsequently acquired by the Musée du Grand Siècl

The gallery is pleased to announce the recent acquisition by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes of King David Playing the Harp by Georges Lallemant (1575–1636)!
